Summer Solstice Celebration 2010
Activities for the Summer Solstice Celebration at Petrified Forest National Park will include Rangers at Puerco Pueblo 8:30 am to 9:30 am June 14-28, to help visitors watch an ancient solar calendar—peaking about 9:00 am each morning.
Junior Ranger Days Begin at Petrified Forest National Park
Visitors to the park can earn a special Junior Ranger badge and patch by participating in a variety of fun and educational activities on Saturdays this summer.
Petrified Forest National Park Changes to Summer Hours 2010
Petrified Forest National Park will be changing to longer summer hours on May 9, 2010. The park will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) daily.
