2010 National Parks Quarters
The following National Parks and Sites will be honored on the U.S. quarter in 2010:
- Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas - April Release
- Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming - June Release
- Yosemite National Park in California - Late July, early August Release
- Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona - September Release
- Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon - November Release
George Washington portrait will remain on the obverse side (heads side).
Silver bullion duplicates of each 2010 quarter will also be available. Release date has yet to be announced.

For serious collectors and investors, we recommend you order the maximum of 5 boxes of rolls of quarters from the US Mint. Each box contains one roll of quarters from the Denver mint and another roll of National Parks quarters from the Philadelphia mint. If you plan on reselling these boxes, KEEP THEM SEALED. You will turn a much larger profit on sealed boxes. Remember, you want rolls from the US Mint, not bank rolls.
Another thing to look for is early production dates on the box. The earlier a coin is struck at the US Mint, the better grade it will be. But, with that being said, the US Mint changes dies during the coin production process. Dies have a limited life span, so a coin struck with a new die in mid production can look as good as a coin at the beginning of the production process. Coins struck with a brand new die will have a cleaner, mirrored finish as compared to coins struck later in the process that will not be as pristine.
We also recommend you purchase the Clad and Silver Proof Sets. At least one of each. A couple more if you can afford it. Reselling individual proof sets or complete runs of a series can also fetch a nice profit.
Smart resellers hang on until the US Mint has SOLD OUT of an item, then the price jumps. Just keep an eye on eBay
