2009 Platinum American Eagle
For sale is the 2009 Platinum American Eagle one ounce proof coin. Each coin contains 99.95 percent pure platinum and is packaged in a custom designed portfolio presentation case and should contain a Certificate of Authenticity from the US Mint.
The obverse side or front of the coin features Lady Liberty.
The reverse design features four women's faces representing the diversity of the United States with the clothing and hair weaving together sending forth the principle "To Form a More Perfect Union".
An additional feature of the 9T1 is an American Eagle privy mark which is a new design element. The privy mark has been added to the reverse side of the coin. The privy mark is from an original coin punch identified at the United States Mint in Philadelphia.
