2011 Gettysburg National Park Quarters
The sixth quarter released in the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarter™ Program and the first of 2011 honors Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania. The Gettysburg National Military Park Quarter (R69), were released on January 27th, 2011.
Gettysburg National Military Park is famous for the battle of Gettysburg, a Civil War battle that ended General Robert E. Lee's second invasion of the North in 1863. It is also the site of one of Abraham Lincoln's most famous speeches, the Gettysburg Address.
